Valentina Ortiz is a Mexican storyteller and musician. She has travelled throughout Singapore, Colombia, El Salvador and the United States sharing old and new tales from Mexico.  She is recognized for her residencies at universities and community centers.  She has published four books and produced four records of her original stories and music. She has a Bachelor ́s Degree from Barnard College in New York and a Masters in Arts Management from Mexican Metropolitan University UAM. In 2018, she received a Teacher ́s College Certificate for Teaching of the Arts from Columbia University. Since 2022 she has been the recipient of the Mexican government grant Creadores Escénicos.
