Beats Bars

To foster growth within our communities through music opportunities and mentorship.

Vision

To offer culturally-responsive, arts-integrated, and trauma-informed programming to support youth in their personal and professional development.

Creativity

We inspire others by emphasizing the value of finding joy in our artistic and professional practices and lives.

Our Values

Keys Beats Bars core values create the foundation for our daily actions and inform the language we use in working with underserved youth.

Safety

We base our integrity in social and emotional learning - treating others with respect, fairness, and compassion.

Multiculturalism

We create a sense of belonging through connecting with others over music, language, culture, and art.

Change

We know there is room for growth with youth and we encourage them to find their voice guided by supported self-realization.

Legacy

We recognize the value in learning from our ancestors. In their efforts to build a better future for us, we have our role in cultivating that too.

Who We Are . . .

We Are Musicians.

We love music. In fact, we live it, practice it, and teach it. We believe music can be a form of anything such as expression, recovery, coping, healing or even just beauty. Only you know what music means to you; define it for yourself!

We Are Advocates.

We advocate for our communities through music; the creative means to which we speak of the pain and injustice we witness, but also the happiness and joy we experience in small victories. Music is our resistance . . .our way of life . . .it is our survivance!

We Are Creators.

We create music behind the scenes from the beginning to end. Some of us are filmmakers, editors, and audiographers; we enjoy putting the pieces together. We help musicians share their passion for music. We help bring their vision to life.

We Are Artists.

We have always dreamed of this since we were little. Looking at our favorite artists and performers on the big screen or at a concert, we knew we wanted to entertain. We wanted that small taste of fame and to become known to the world.
