As a Cuban Master Drummer, residing in Portland, Isidro started his career studying Afro-Cuban percussion in Cuba with Tata Guines, Panetto Quinto, Angel Glez, and Changuito. A graduate from the Centro Musical Dansario Pro-Dansa de Cuba and the Gran Teatro de la Habana, he toured internationally as a musician and dancer with Pino Nuevos.

With a notable performance roster including artists like Sandy Perez, Bobi Cespedes, and Ramon Ramos Alayo, he enjoys teaching at-risk youth about Afro-Cuban music styles and techniques and sharing his story. Currently, Isidro performs with Wamba, Cana Son, and Jujuba and assists with instruction in our program.
