Boinor Nartey Jr. Percussionist Educator

Boinor Nartey Jr. is a percussionist from the district of Jamestown in Accra, Ghana. He studied and played traditional drumming in the community, Onykyelo, with Nii Tetteh Tether. He was also a member of the former drumming and dance troupe, Okropong and opened for Salif Keita and Randy Weston.

Boinor has also performed with other Ghanaian percussionists and singers throughout many colleges, universities, and programs, displaying the many aspects of his culture. Most specifically, he has performed with Massamba Diop, Ibrahima Camara, African Showboys, Spiritual Brothers, and Chatta Addy’s Susuma.
